L’avvincente dramma della HBO su una famiglia ricca e disfunzionale che gestisce un impero dei media, ha ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination per al 74a edizione degli Emmy Awards. La serie tv targata Netflix, invece, stupisce tutti e potrebbe essere la prima serie in lingua non inglese ad ottenere più premi.
Sono stati annunciate le nomination per gli Emmy 2022, dove la serie che ha ottenuto più candidature è proprio Succession con 25 in totale. Subito dietro con 20 nomination c’erano Ted Lasso, la commedia Apple TV con Jason Sudeikis nel ruolo del sincero allenatore americano di una squadra di calcio della Premier League, così come The White Lotus, l’acclamata serie limitata della HBO incentrata su un gruppo di miserabili persone ricche in vacanza in un lussuoso resort alle Hawaii.
Come al solito, HBO e HBO Max hanno continuato a dominare, con 140 nomination in totale. Netflix, ovviamente, ha avuto una presenza importante tra i candidati, con 105 nomination, tra cui uno storico Squid Game, la popolarissima serie tv coreana sulle persone piene di debiti che si iscrivono per competere in giochi mortali per soldi, è ora il primo spettacolo non in lingua inglese a competere nella categoria miglior dramma.
